FAQs

The following consists of the most frequently asked questions that policyholders and prospective policyholders have. You will find most of the answers you are looking for here. If you do not find a particular answer for which you are looking, please feel free to contact our home office staff by phone at 1 (866) GO-WORTH or e-mail at info@worthcasualty.com, and we will be happy to help with any questions you may have regarding our products and services.

Q. If I have insurance with you, live away from Fort Worth, and have an accident, will I have to wait for someone from Fort Worth to come look at my vehicle?

A. Absolutely not! We have adjusters and appraisers contracted all over the state to handle our policyholders' claims. If you need to report a claim, you still would need to contact the home office and speak with a Customer Care Associate who will guide you through obtaining estimates or assign your claim to an independent adjuster in your local area. At that time, we will also provide you with the information on how to contact the adjuster directly. The adjuster should be in contact with you within 48-72 hours to make an appointment to look at your vehicle at your convenience. Our Claims Department probably receives more compliments than any other department within the company because of our prompt and courteous service.

Q. Since you are a select-risk company, if I have a wreck or receive a ticket will I be canceled?

A. Having one wreck or ticket in your driving history generally does not warrant cancellation procedures. However, if you have more than one incident in a 12-month period, the underwriter will review your policy to determine if you still meet our select-risk driving standards. Being a select-risk company benefits everyone insured at Worth Casualty Company. How? By insuring only the safest drivers, the company saves money by not having to pay as many claims. By having lower claims expenses, we are able to save money, thus keeping your rates as low as possible. An incident is defined as any occurrence of a moving traffic violation or an accident, regardless of fault.

Q. Do you offer installment plans to pay the premium, or do I have to pay my annual premium all at once?

A. We offer various installment plans to meet your financial needs. The following plans are available: 90 days, same as cash; six monthly installments with a minimal finance charge; and ten monthly installments with a minimal finance charge.

Q. Who can be covered on my policy?

A. Anyone who resides in your household, is legally licensed to operate a motor vehicle in Texas, and would normally be covered under your family's personal auto insurance policy may be covered as long as they meet our underwriting guidelines. This includes your spouse and children under the age of 23.

Q. What happens if I move out of Texas?

A. Your insurance policy will remain in force through the remainder of your policy period. Unfortunately, we are only licensed to insure Texas residents at this time, so when your policy is due to renew, you will need to obtain new coverage from a company that is licensed in your new state of residence.

Q. Do you offer other types of insurance, such as homeowners or life?

A. At this time, Worth only writes personal auto insurance policies. However, we will keep you informed on our ongoing efforts to bring you more types of protection.
